Head-quartered at the National Technology Park in Limerick, Ireland, Tango Telecom was formed in 1999 to develop enhanced services solutions for current and next generation telecommunications network operators. The company delivered the first product in Portugal during 2001 and delivered the first real-time charging solution at the end of 2002.

The company reached profitability during 2004 and has continued to achieve quarter on quarter profitability during 2005. Revenues have grown at a CAGR of 100% each year, since the company was established.

Comptel Corporation Comptel Corporation acquired 20% of the company in March 2002, as part of a partnership and OEM agreement. Comptel is the global market leader in mediation solutions and has expanded its product portfolio also to the management of new content and mobile services. Today, Comptel has over 600 employees, and over 250 customers in 80 countries. The turnover in 2005 was EUR 66.1 million.
