Customer Operations Engineer - Mexico

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting and delivering solutions in the telecommunications market. The responsibilities for this role are:

  • Participation in pre-shipping installation and system testing work
  • Participation in installation and commissioning project planning
  • System installation and commissioning work on customer’s sites
  • Participation in customer training
  • System acceptance testing and handover to customers
  • Provision of hardware and software technical support
  • Optimisation and troubleshooting of GSM/GPRS/CDMA networks
  • Internal reporting and provision of feedback to customer
  • Creation and maintenance of Customer Support documentation

Based in our offices in Mexico City, this role will involve extensive international travel. Ideally candidates should possess a high level of spoken and written English, have a relevant degree, 3+ years industry experience and a strong background in the following areas:

  • Knowledge and experience of SS7
  • Telecommunication and signaling systems including MAP, SMPP, GPRS, INAP
  • Knowledge of IP networks
  • Real-time/embedded software
  • Unix (Solaris, Linux, HP_UX), Perl, shell scripting
